Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs)

These early traumas set the person up for non-flourishing or languishing throughout their lives. High ACE scores are transmitted from generationally with a very high transmisivity; more than 90%.

While much is know about the causes of ACEs, and many organizations are interested in blunting the impact there is little in the way of theory or research on how to reduce them.

We do know the biologic mechanism–prolonged unremitting stress. I suggest that we use the Losada Ratio as the sensitive measure for stress AND flourishing and design tests of change to see what raises the Losada Ratio for the parents and children in homes with high ACE scores.
